Here's why: When I was selecting a realtor, three things were very important to me, and I feel that Jeff scores very highly in all three categories: 1) Deal experience - Jeff has been a realtor for many years and has closed several hundred deals. Jeff is in the top 3% of realtors in Colorado and the top 5% of realtors in the US. 2) Negotiation skills - It's one thing to understand the mechanics of home buying, but it's another thing to know how to negotiate and get a good deal (or avoid a bad one). Not only did Jeff explain the mechanics of the homebuying process to me, he also coached me to craft an offer and apply a negotiation strategy to our home search. Some evidence of this is Jeff's Real Estate Negotiator Expert (RENE) certification combined with his deal experience mentioned above. 3) Availability - Throughout the whole process, I always felt that I could get in touch with Jeff no matter the day or time. Many house showings occur on weekends, and Jeff was always available, and I felt well-supported by him and his team. I had a great experience working with Jeff as I am (was) a first-time home buyer (deal closed July 2023). Jeff explained the process clearly and took the time to coach me and my wife regarding making a competitive offer in a competitive market. We also had one situation with a seller where Jeff helped steer us out of a difficult situation, so we didn't get bullied around by the seller/listing agent. In hindsight, I feel that Jeff's experience was invaluable in keeping us away from bad deal, and soon afterwards, we found the right deal and were able to close successfully. Again, the negotiation expertise and deal experience were critical here.
